Folio:
1  In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate. 
2  ʿAlī b. Muḥammad b. Muḥammad resident of the village of [...] from the valley
3   Ranz has made a valid and lawful acknowledgement fully consistent with all [legal] conditions and [legal] capacity 
4  to the deputy of the dīwān of the munificent, knowledgeable and just ruler, Shams al-Dunyā wa ’l-Dīn,
5  the pillar of Islam and of the Muslims, the most just of rulers--may God fortify his supporters
6   and extend his power-- that owed and due is high-quality barley [totaling]
7  four hundred mann, half of which
8  is two hundred mann [...+/- 4].

10  [...] on the 18th of the blessed month of God Ramaḍān, 
11  may God magnify its sanctity, in the year five hundred and sixty-nine.
