[إلا] الذین یصلون إلی قو[م بینکم و بینهم] 1
میثاق او جا[ء]وکم [حصرت] 2
[صـ]دورهم أن یقاتلوکـ[م أو یقاتلوا] 3
قومهم ولو شا الله لسلطهم 4
علیکم فلقاتلوکم فإن 5
اعتزلوکم فلم یقاتلوکم 6
والقوا إلیکم السلم فما 7
[جعل الله لـ]کم علیهم سبیلا 1
[ستجدون] اخرین یریدون ان یأ 2
[منوکم و]یأمنوا قومهم کلما 3
ردوا إلی الفتنة ارکسوا فیها 4
فإن لم یعتزلوکم و یلقوا إلیکم 5
السلم ویکفوا ایدیهم فخذوهم 6
[و]اقتلوهم حیث یقفتموهـ[م] 7
ترجمه
Folio:
1 [Except] in the case of those who reach a people with whom
2 you have a covenant or those who come to you too distressed
3 at heart to fight you or to fight
4 their own people. Had God wished, He could have given them power
5 over you and they would have fought you. If they
6 keep aloof from you and do not fight you
7 and offer you peace,
1 [God will not] apoint any way for you against them. (*)
2 [You will find] others who wish to be
3 secure from you and from their own people, but whenever
4 they are returned to temptation, they are turned on their heads in it.
5 If they do not keep aloof from you and do not offer you
6 peace nor restrain their hands, take them
7 [and] kill them wherever you find the[m].
