An order sent from al-Dīwān al-Ikhtiyārī to the muqaddams and the people (jamāʿat) that appear in a certain list (tafṣīl), concerning the compensation for the sheep eaten by the villagers. The dīwān has sent Muʿtamid al-Dawla ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-Rashīd to oversee the procedure.

Translation

1 al-Dīwān al-Ikhtiyārī
2 Ulugh Arsalān
3 Trust [the signet].
4 Glory to God.
5 [Regarding] the muqaddams and the people who [are mentioned] in
6 the list as having eaten the sheep,
7 Muʿtamid al-Dawla ʿAlī [b.] ʿAbd al-Rashīd
8 has been sent to attend to this matter, so that they answer for [+1] each and every one of those sheep,
9 They shall act according to this matter.
10 They shall put their trust [in the signet]. If they count on the collection of grain,
11 people will be sent, and severe punishments will be inflicted.
12 [It has been written] in Ṣafar, the year 614.
13 Right margin: Rashīd al-Dīn Fakhr al-Dawla Aḥmad shall take charge of this matter and collect 50 mann of ghāmū. He shall hand it over to ʿAlī [b.] ʿAbd al-Rashīd.
