Translation
Folio:
1 From the beginning of Muḥarram in the year 604, I will be without the master Zangī, and
2 will carry out gold-thread embroidery work. And if I stop working without his permission, I
3 will pay one hundred dinars of official coinage. Zangī b. [+ 1]
4 known as “the gold-thread embroiderer [zardūz],”  has accepted that, “during this one year of my absence, I shall pay him
5 seventy dinars of official coinage, two sets of white muslin and
6 striped fabric and will cover his food and daily subsistence.” And this letter was
7 instructed to be written on the second day in the beginning of Muḥarram in the year 604.              
8 He acknowledged what is herein and signed it Muḥammad b. Maḥmūd b. Aḥmad known as
“the painter,” at his order   
He acknowledged all of this [and] signed it
ʿUthmān b. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī known as
Zardūz, at his order
