Fragment of a letter sent to the faqīh Muḥammad b. ʿAlī by Abū Sahl b. Abū ʿAlī. The letter concerns the sale of a garden (būstān). The text is partly illegible due to the paper’s poor state of preservation.

One sheet vertically severed into two halves at the middle (indicated by {}), stitched together with string, possibly reused as a paste-down in a medieval bound volume, then removed and perhaps folded; complete, black ink, verso is reused
